Use moments, not purchase requirements
Good Bingo squares include sunrise selfie, coffee refill, funniest display, smartest skip, group photo with no bags, holiday singalong, snack emergency, local-business stop, and someone saying “we do not need it.” Avoid making every square require spending money.
Mix shopping and memory squares
A balanced board can include compare before buying, stay on budget, hard-to-shop-for win, kindness moment, best photo, unexpected treasure, and holiday lights. This lets someone win without filling a cart.
Give the center square to the group
Use “together” as the free square. It reinforces the point of the game and works for friends, siblings, couples, parents and adult children, or a family group.
Keep it optional
Bingo should create jokes, not pressure. People can tap squares on the Friend Friday page, screenshot the board, or ignore it for an hour when the group wants a break.
Create a custom version with AI
Describe the group’s ages, accessibility needs, budget, weather plan and sense of humor. Ask for original squares and require at least half to involve no purchase. Review the suggestions before sharing so they fit the actual group.
